2021 February 7th - Aftermath of Lockdown 2: Electric Boogaloo
So, since my last post I went back to work, went into Corona-lockdown for three weeks, then back to work again. In that time, I barely touched my computer, much less wrote anything. When the lockdown was first announced, my first reaction was “aww yeah, going to get so much done!” then the next thing I knew, it had all slipped away from me and I’d barely left my bed the whole time. For the record, I blame the weather, it was simply too damn cold to even attempt doing anything. Last lockdown (April last year) I was getting up at a decent time every day, going for a walk, then trying to find meaningful ways to spend my day (with various degrees of success) whereas it was simple too damn cold to go out, and the heating was out of commission in my house (long story), so like hell I was getting any work done!
Now things are getting a little warmer, the heating is back, and things are looking up. I don’t want to jinx it or anything, but I feel like this month could be at least vaugely productive :).
In the meantime, while I work on finishing up the few bits and pieces I have in progress, here is a picture based on Ikaruga I made about 5 years ago, which up till recently couldn’t stand the look of, that I found it on my backup hard drive. It’s still far from perfect, but it’s grown on me.
