2020 September 28th - What a month for game announcements!
So, as promised, here are my impressions on this month’s gaming news. For the most part, it’s just my own malformed oppinions on what’s important, but it does include a unique piece of breaking news you won’t find reported anywhere else on the internet, so yeah, take that games media :p
There’s a couple of Switch games mentioned in there (including an exclusive) so I suppose I should make my position on the Switch clear: I’m waiting on the Switch Pro. I don’t own a Switch at present, and this is almost entirely down to stubbornness, because no, I’m not going to purchase a console with so little internal storage that it can’t even hold some of its own games. No, no, NO. It’s the freaking principle of the thing. Should the long-rumoured Pro show up early next year, and assuming it has more than the paltry 20GB storage the regular Switch has, that’s an immediate purchase for me, with DMC3 as my day-one download, ‘cause the style-switching sounds insane.
2020 September 21st - Already failed at Healthy Living
Every time I think I’ve gotten my life under control, it throws another hectic week my way, but enough about that, things are happening in the world of videogames! There’ve already been so many crazy announcements and reveals this past week (looking at you, Microsoft and Bethesda) and The Tokyo Game Show happening later this week. I will have a write up on all this by the weekend, I can almost guarantee it!
This week’s dollop of utter nonsense is me gushing over Death Valley High, the album you should have heard, but probably haven’t. So, go read it, and then fix that. Do it now.
2020 September 11th - Back to normal?
I’d forgotten how much I hate getting set up on a new web host, so this last week has been a not-so-fun reminder. Thought I’d channel that hatred into something productive, so here’s a new rant, this time on the topic of microwaves.
Got a few bits queued up for the next month or so, hopefully getting me back on schedule. It’s nice getting back to writing again, it gives me the feeling I’m not complely wasting my life, so that’s a huge plus. Also trying for a bit of healthier living, but we’ll see how that goes.
2020 September 7th - Holy crap, I'm not dead!
So, when I mentioned I was moving into a fixer-upper about two years ago? Turns out those take away more of your time, money, and motivation than you'd think, especially if you're doing most of the work yourself around a full-time job. I've also learned that, after a while, you just learn to live with a house that literally looks like it came straight out of Fallout, and that really saps your motivation.
Long story short, it's been a long couple of years, but hopefully I can get back to what I love; producing complete bullshit and spraying it all over the internet. To that end, here, have something that would have been topical back last December when I started writing it.
Oh, and since my last update, I've been having issues with my hosting company, who also held my old domain, so welcome to the newly-christened, Trash Realm!
