2018 June 23rd - Home and Homepages

Katie and I just moved house yesterday, into what you may call a fixer-upper. It's been uninhabited for a few years, and inside looks a little more like a building from Fallout than I am comfortable with, but it is habitable (now we've had a plumber round this morning to get the toilet working!) and should be quite cosy once we get some work done on it. The house comes with a rather large garden, and a pokestop at the end of it, which is pretty cool seeing as I've been playing a lot of Pokemon Go since the last Nintendo Direct reminded me that it was a thing. There appears to be an ongoing Valour/Instinct feud with the couple of gyms near-by, which I'm dying to get stuck in to!

While the move has kept me a little too busy to write anything new for the site, Katie did find the time to knock me up some proper buttons for the front page, so I've finally replaced those awful MS-paint placeholders I've had up for the last several months. This means that once I put together a rough “contact/about me” page, the main body of this site will actually be complete!

Tomorrow's going to be spent tackling the overgrown garden we've acquired, but I think tonight now belongs to gaming and navy rum (a moving-in present from work).

2018 June 14th - Musings on DMC V E3 Trailer

So, Capcom finally showed off DMC V at E3, and as a long-time DMC fan, I naturally have some thoughts on the trailer. Long story short, I'm cautious, but mostly optimistic. Bit disappointed over the lack of castles in the trailer, but I suppose you can't have everything.

In other E3 news, Metal Wolf Chaos XD is awesome news, and Ninja Theory's decision to join Microsoft is downright baffling. They believe the deal will grant them "full creative independence". Maybe it would have been wise to ask Platinum Games about how much "creative independence" they had recently working for Microsoft on Scalebound ↗ before commiting, hmm?

2018 June 7th - Ow, my everything

Uggh, just spent an hour and a half moving furniture and think I hurt my ankle. Also spent an hour or two earlier setting up a proper blog archive for the site, so that's sorted now.

Oh, and here's a thing I wrote about Bojack Horseman on Sunday and just hadn't gotten round to uploading, yay

2018 June 2nd - More ramblings about Chao

So, the official Sonic social media accounts have been making a few chao posts recently, so I'm totally taking that as proof that chao are coming back, so I produced a bunch of ideas for what they should do with a modern title. I'm assuming if they go ahead with it, the next chao-related title will come from Sonic Team themselves rather than a 3rd party developer, but who knows, maybe Sumo Digital have plans to include them in their new racing game?
