This site serves as a place for me to keep all my ideas, drawings, ramblings, and other projects all in one place. If you're looking for a large collection of nerd shit, and long-winded rants about insignificant details, then congratluations, you have reached your destination.

2022 February 22nd - Monsters and tech-gremlins

Well, the Capcom countdown was for Street Fighter 6, as was expected. What wasn’t expected was just how underwhelming it all was. If this had just dropped, that would have been fine, but a whole dramatic countdown, for a game that everybody already knew about?

Meanwhile, I’ve had to put up with four days of tech nightmare, as our home PC has absolutely shat itself and appears beyond fixing. Already tried about three fresh installs, none of which made things any better, so I’m convinced its a hardware issue. Thankfully, all I need to keep updating my site is my trusty laptop, so that’s all good, but I am cut off from photoshop until the problem is sorted.

How fortunate then that just before these troubles started, I managed to get a few drawings completed? Introducing my collection of Amusemons, monsters based off of amusement arcade aesthetic. I’ve only made three so far, but I have plenty more ideas, and as soon as I have access to photoshop again I’m sure I’ll add to them. In totally unrelated news, I may have dipped back into Pokemon Go recently, can you tell?

Oh, and, Happy Twosday!

2022 February 18th - Another gaming news round-up

As promised last time, I’ve done a write-up of my thoughts about the Acitvision Blizzard and Bungie acquisitions, as well as some of the other pieces of gaming news we’ve seen over the last month or so. Just spent the last couple of hours editing and adding pictures, so I’ll leave the rest of my rambling till tomorrow.

2022 February 1st - I hate the moderen web, I hate the modern web...

These last couple of weeks sure have been something in the gaming world, huh? First Microsoft’s purchase of Activision, and Now Sony buying up Bungie, it feels like the Console wars are heating back up again after about 8-9 years (and let’s face it, the last time around was mostly Microsoft shooting themselves in the foot with their always-online DRM box and Sony laughing at them). It’s kind of sad this is the first thing to come out of this new generation of consoles that gives me any feeling of nostalgia, but whatever, here’s hoping they actually use these new studios to do something exciting, instead of just falling back on the same-old same-old.

I’m sure I’ll have more to say about these deals in the future, but in the meanwhile, I’ve been having trouble with my web-browser, and decided to share that pain with all of you, so here it is, the reasons why I’ve finally given up on Palemoon.
